This October we’re proud to present the one and only Marko Milicevic, aka Gramophonedzie!!!
Marko has been producing as Gramophonedzie for the last 4 years. Under this alias, he has signed tracks to a range of independent labels such as Guesthouse, Yazuka, Gotta Keep Faith, DiskoZoo, Oxyd and Shak Digital. The ‘Swinging With The Fishes EP’ that he signed to Guesthouse in 2009 featured ‘Why Don’t You’ – a jackin’ house track that samples Peggy Lee’s swing standard ‘Why Don’t You Do Right’.

‘Why Don’t You’ went on to be one of the biggest club records of 2009 and received widespread club support from the likes of Erick Morillo and Steve Angello to Dennis Ferrer and Louie Vega. It also received major radio support right across Europe with Giles Peterson (Radio 1) naming it his track of 2009. Now signed to Postiva, ‘Why Don’t You’ recently hit #12 in the UK Sales Chart on its first week of release and remained in the Top 20 for several weeks.

Marko has also put the magic Gramophonedzie remix touch to a number of underground house favourites including DJ Sneak, Smokingroove, Vernon and DaCosta, Arco, Combined and Sonny Fodera.

After the awesome performance from Tommy Largo at August’s Fiasco, the bar is set high for the September guests. We don’t see it being much of a problem though, as the long awaited Fiasco debut of Mr Phil Weeks has finally arrived!

Yes Phil will be in the house for the headline slot and the word on the street is he is going to show Fiasco what it’s all about!

DJ/producer Phil Weeks is a house music purist. His mixing is old school Chicago with a nu-school French flare going from the deepest house to the techiest. His production sounds like it could have been released in the 90’s partly because he uses the same gear – 808’s, 909’s, 606’s, even vintage keys. He prefers vinyl, likes his mixes dirty, and knows how to rock a crowd with a heavy hitting bass line.

Also on the bill this month is one of Fiasco first ever international guests, Jason Pelletier.  Ottawa based Jason made his Fiasco debut back in July 2008 and is itching to get back over here. He has over a decade of experience behind the decks and has a busy DJ schedule back home, allowing him to tour all over Canada on a regular basis. He also hold down two residencies at “Spins & Needles” and “Stay House”.

Every month the Fiasco decks are graced by some of the biggest names in the worlds underground house scene.   As a thank you to all the regulars who come down to be part of the party month on month, we are putting on a residents night at our intimate home in the Bacchus basement.

This will be the first residents party since December 2008 so expect an extra special event!

Joining Ed Marco this month are Fiasco crew members Pete Baker, The Steph and Dan Harrison.

On the 30th of May, Fiasco fans will meet at Bacchus at 4pm for an hour of house grooves before being collected at 5pm and taken to this years secret location for 5 hours of partying. After which, we will all be picked up and dropped off back at Bacchus for a further 4 hour club party over two floors!

 The venues in 2008 & 2009 were both jaw-droppingly good, but this is definitely the best yet, plus we’ve also got our biggest line up ever!!

As the cold of winter starts to fade away, we welcome another underground house legend to the Fiasco decks, straight from the sunny beaches of Adelaide, Australia.  This month, Sonny Fodera is flying in straight from the WMC in Miami with a big bag of the hottest promos around, including all his newest productions to woo the Fiasco crowd good and proper!

This party will be Sonny’s European Debut and he’s absolutely buzzing about letting rip in Glasgow. Also on the bill this month is the workers of Ibiza’s favourite DJ for two years running, Space resident… Marcoloco!!

Marco has rocked the Fiasco crowd on a number of occasions and we can’t wait to have him back, this time for one of his famous underground sets only usually only heard by the revelers on the Premier Etage at Space in Ibiza, or at the Fiasco after parties.

After the awesome vibe at Fiasco’s second Birthday Party and the incredible sets played by Heather and Dibbs & Mr Manyana, you’d think we’d be worried about our next event not living up to the expectations….not quite!    Why? Because we’ve got the top dog of Guesthouse Music, DJ MES coming to rock Fiasco for the first time in 15 months and he is absolutely buzzing about making his Fiasco return.

Alongside DJ Mes this month we are stoked to welcome Funktransplant to the Fiasco decks for the first time.   We met Luc for the first time at Miami WMC last year, and we’re looking forward to him joining Mes on the decks for what will no doubt be another quality Fiasco!
