Christmas comes early this year!!!

After Chuck Daniels’ awesome performance at the November Fiasco, we move on to our December event, headlined by a couple of local boys who return to Fiasco to once again to jack the place to the ground! Chris Harris & Dominic Martin rocked the decks at The Fiasco Glasgow Showdown in March this year, and for those who weren’t lucky enough to make it down to the Admiral that night, don’t worry: the set is available for download on our mixes page.

Chris and Dom both play regular weekly gigs in Glasgow, but love returning to Fiasco as they are given free reign and can play a full set of the music they love: ….underground house music!!

These guys have been producing tracks together for nearly four years and have had releases on some of the biggest labels in the industry, including Guesthouse, Lost My Dog and Nordic Trax.

Also on the bill this month is long time friend of Fiasco, Chef DeParty. Chef hung up his headphones a number of years ago but has come out of retirement over the last year to bring us his new found love for deep house grooves and quirky disco beats!

Yes Fiasco is back with another UK exclusive!

This time our guest is one of the most respected house music DJ/producer’s ever to come out of Detroit, the one and only, CHUCK DANIELS!!

Over the last five years, Chuck has made a big impact in the House music scene, with releases and remixes on numerous labels earning him major credibility among fellow industry artists. Chuck has been DJing since 1988, and with his house background being heavily influenced by Detroit Techno, Booty, and bass along with a strong influence of Chicago and New York House, you can see why he’s an obvious choice to entertain the Fiasco massive!

Also, celebrating the second birthday of the Flatpacked radio show, long-time friends of Fiasco Esteban Carracas and Chris Mac will be playing alongside Chuck and Ed.    We’ve been looking forward to having these guys back on the Fiasco decks after they opened the Secret Location Party earlier this year.   As well as seeing them at this month’s Fiasco, you can catch them on the Flatpacked radio show at 9pm UK time every Monday on Chicago House FM.com.

This month we have something extra special for the Fiasco massive!

Fiasco takes on the mighty Ibiza Groove as Marcoloco takes to our decks in this month’s headline slot!

Marco will have just returned from another summer on the White Isle, further securing his status as an Ibiza Legend! As well as playing at Space in either The Terrace, Premier Etage or The Salon almost every week through out the summer, he has also been running Boat Parties under his Ibiza Groove brand, which have also become legendary among the workers and clubbers on the White Isle.

Also on the bill this month we are Fiasco friends Pedro and Ali-oop. I had the pleasure of playing along side these guys in Ibiza a few weeks ago and they definitely know what it’s all about. Prepare to be jacked!

¡Hola amigos! ¿Qué pasa?

The Fiasco crew have just emerged from a much needed slumber following a hectic and party filled week in clubbing mecca: Ibiza!   Landing in Eivissa Airport we quickly hopped in a taxi, headed to San Antonio and let the week’s festivities unfold…

First up was a Sunday Salinas Beach session courtesy of friend of Fiasco and Ibiza Groove honcho, Marcoloco.    This was a low-key afternoon, away from the usual tourist haunts with Marco playing a mix of chillout through to deep house.     The party kicked off later that night at Space, where ‘We Love…’ saw Felix da Housecat and Boyz Noize tearing up the main stage.

Monday night saw a very special line-up upstairs at the Highlander Bar in San Antonio, where Ed, Pedro and Ali joined Marcoloco’s usual Monday night residency for Fiasco’s official Ibiza debut.   This turned out to be an absolutely rocking night, combining Marcoloco’s balearic beats and Fiasco’s jacking grooves to cook up a real party!

After packing in some much needed beach time either side of 2 Many DJs at Eden on Tuesday night, we got ready for the main event of the week; one that every worker on the island had been talking about and was sure to become the hottest boat party of the summer, courtesy of Marcoloco and Ibiza Groove!      To start the day off, Ed kicked off the pre-party in San Antonio before the capacity crowd headed down to the harbour to get on the boat, which featured a ‘who’s who’ of Ibiza legends, with Jason Bye, Oliver Lang and secret guest Jonathan Ulysses properly rocking the boat before Marcoloco closed it with a live PA from Sarah Story for a true Ibiza experience.    The night didn’t finish there: we joined the Vagrant DJs and Marcoloco back at the Highlander for the after party where we kept the groove going well into Friday morning.

After a few chilled days checking out Cala Bassa beach and Ibiza town, we made our way back to sunny Glasgow and back to reality: Mission accomplished.   Fiasco was well and truly unleashed on Ibiza, and will definitely be back next year so watch this space.  If you haven’t been to Ibiza yet we’d highly recommend it, although you might need another holiday straight after it!

Dawning the Fiasco decks this month, flying in for this exclusive UK gig, we have none other than Belgian house connoisseur, Massimo Dacosta!!

Massimo DaCosta was born and raised in Mons, Belgium and found his true love, House Music at age 17. After 6 years of playing in various clubs around Belgium, he joined forces with Vernon Baras to produce under the name Vernon & Dacosta.  Since 2000, they have worked on productions and remixes for OM Records, Icon, Robsoul, Lowdown, Doubledown, OAE, Flygaric Tracks, Séparé, Tom Bone, Uniform, DIY, Phono Graffiti, Flat & Round, and Blockhead.

Today their productions earn praise from dancers, music journalists and top International deejays like Laurent Garnier, Jef K, Raoul (Swirl People), Mazi, David Duriez, Jason Hodges, Djulz, Phil Weeks, DJ Sneak, Kenny Hawkes and Derrick Carter.

Things have been a little quiet the past month at Fiasco HQ as the sun has come out in Glasgow, festival season is upon us, and everyone is off on their summer holidays. This month we’ve decided to take a break before getting back into the groove for a stellar lineup of events over the autumn and winter, but we’ll be back next month with the usual house-fuelled shenanigans.

While 200 party goers are still recovering from last weeks mammoth event, our wheels are already in motion to bring you an extra special treat for June’s Fiasco, Indianapolis based DJ/producer John Larner!

John’s production success and DJ talent have seen him in demand in clubs around the globe. Widely known for his high-octane sets, which incorporate a balanced mix of fresh cuts and the old sounds of Chicago and Detroit.

With strong followings in Belgium, Australia and Scotland, John racks up frequent flyer points all year long!

He currently receives his musical inspirations from likes of Derrick Carter, Mark Farina, Mathew Dear, Phil Weeks, Lance De Sardi and music from all over the globe.

John is flying in for this exclusive UK gig and we recommend not missing him, as this is his first Scottish performance in over 5 years!!

A big thanks to everyone that came down to the Secret Location Party on Sunday!   If you didn’t make it, or haven’t guessed where it was yet, it was at the Glasgow Science Centre.   This futuristic and highly unexpected venue played host to the largest Fiasco event yet, with 15 DJs playing in 4 rooms spread across 3 locations, starting at Moskito on Bath Street and ending up back at the Admiral.
