This October we’re proud to present the one and only Marko Milicevic, aka Gramophonedzie!!!
Marko has been producing as Gramophonedzie for the last 4 years. Under this alias, he has signed tracks to a range of independent labels such as Guesthouse, Yazuka, Gotta Keep Faith, DiskoZoo, Oxyd and Shak Digital. The ‘Swinging With The Fishes EP’ that he signed to Guesthouse in 2009 featured ‘Why Don’t You’ – a jackin’ house track that samples Peggy Lee’s swing standard ‘Why Don’t You Do Right’.
‘Why Don’t You’ went on to be one of the biggest club records of 2009 and received widespread club support from the likes of Erick Morillo and Steve Angello to Dennis Ferrer and Louie Vega. It also received major radio support right across Europe with Giles Peterson (Radio 1) naming it his track of 2009. Now signed to Postiva, ‘Why Don’t You’ recently hit #12 in the UK Sales Chart on its first week of release and remained in the Top 20 for several weeks.
Marko has also put the magic Gramophonedzie remix touch to a number of underground house favourites including DJ Sneak, Smokingroove, Vernon and DaCosta, Arco, Combined and Sonny Fodera.
